Thanks to Mitch Putnam from OMG Posters for asking up to be a part of the Black Moth Super Rainbow Poster Series. There are top notch artist involved, so it’s a great honor and challenge. Check out past posts on Gigposters about this serie to see them all. This was our first attempt at a split fountain and we were psyched with how it turned out. For those non-screen printers out there, a split fountain is when you use two colors of ink at once on the screen to create a gradient blend. We did two of them one for each set of stripes. The seeds are from the big tree outside of our studio. They were collected and photocopied a few years ago and we’ve been itching to use them for something ever since. This is the time of year they start to fall, so it seemed like the right moment. This was purely created analog: photocopies on acetate and Rubylith.
