Campus A Low Hum

Ian, aka Blink, is the master mind behind Campus A Low Hum, a festival that takes place in New Zealand. He writes in his mission, that it’s his quest to create the world’s most unique, considerate and musically astonishing festival. For him, that means: BYO, being able to come and go as one pleases, a diverse range of music, intimate shows, multiple environments, shaded areas, grassy areas, interesting non-musical activities (for example screen printing classes ), non-clashing schedules and not being bombarded with advertising and a constant sound battering. He doesn’t announce line-ups nor does he rely on riding the coat tails of a big name band to hype the festival. An equal playing field makes for a respectful environment. This approach has been fruitful as Blink has been able to secure amazing talent from all over the world and visitors have honored it as the festival annually sells completely out.
