Disappears

Disappears are a Chicago-based band who play forward moving dark rock, with nods to the past but with a clear and present pulse. They manage to straddle an interesting line between raw rock energy and a reductionists approach to composition. We were asked to design and a print a poster for their 2011 New Years Eve concert here in Chicago at the infamous, Empty Bottle. This poster went through many rounds before arriving at the final destination. Attempting to capture that same balance of energy, texture, repetition and reduction was a challenge to say the least.
