Created at a printing residency at North Dakota’s Minot State University during their annual Notstock event, this print was the culmination of 2 days of printing and immersion in one of the coolest small towns we’ve ever been too. Situated just south of the Canadian border, Minot is home to a surprisingly diverse and friendly group of people. The epic winters in this region have produced a people who are both frugal, resourceful, and insanely open. The idea behind this print was sparked when we noticed all the hay bales around town. There were literally thousands of them. We were most impressed that they even harvest hay in the middle of the runways at their small airport. It made for quite a site.
