The Printers’ Ball is a huge homage and celebration of print culture. Supported and envisioned by the city’s famous Poetry Magazine, this annual event has experienced a great reception in the community and grown to be an anticipated event for an eclectic exchange between poets, writers, publishers, printers, print enthusiasts, literary fans and many more. Organized by Fred Sasaki and April Sheridan, we were asked to create a poster for this eclectic event. Our concept was to letterpress the entire HTML code of the Printer’s Ball website on the poster as the text. This was done with the assistance of April Sheridan and Daniel Mellis at the Center for Book and Paper Arts (the bottom half we printed at Sonnenzimmer).
