This poster was produced for Bridgeport WPA, a public works event happening in conjunction with Version 09. This Chicago-based art and media festival happens every year in Bridgeport, a neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side. The Bridgeport WPA project hopes to emulate the power of the original WPA established by Franklin D. Roosevelt as part of his New Deal. Inspired by the captivating posters of the 1930s and 40s Works Progress Administration (WPA), a bunch of local artist created a fresh poster campaign to speak to the citizens and inspire the community.
