Loud Eats Loud

Color fields, iconography, implausible shapes, and removal, each play a roll in this sculptural art object multiple. Conceptualized in Chicago and crafted at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, during our recent visit, this multi-color and multi-dimensional work eclipsed our expectations when realized by a team of UNI printmaking students, professors, and ourselves. Big thanks to print profs Tim Dooley and Aaron Wilson for sharing their institutional knowledge and print shop to make this happen. Part print, part sculpture, this laser cut assemblage pushes our work to a new-found location between surface, action, and icon.
