I'm Not Trying to Change Anything, I'm Just Changing: Apple Clasp

I'm Not Trying to Change Anything, I'm Just Changing: Apple Clasp

I'm Not Trying to Change Anything, I'm Just Changing: Apple Clasp is the compendium publication for our 2019 exhibition at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts in Saugatuck, MI. This multimedia hybrid publication features text (in poetic and essay form) exploring the connection between graphic representation and human touch, original music on looped cassette, and a flip book animation. Together, these linked expressions advocate for a new understanding of how perception will be influenced by our evolving interfaces. Grounded by a melodic and textural ambient soundtrack sculpted from digitally-produced tones and environmental field recordings, the stage is set for the reader to investigate inner and outer images through their own unique perception—the ultimate interface.
