I'm Not Trying to Change Anything, I'm Just Changing

Public Works, Chicago, IL, October 26, 2019

In celebration of our Book+LP I'm Not Trying to Change Anything, I'm Just Changing, we developed a short-form performance extrapolating the content of the book into a 25 minute set pairing readings, live image manipulation, and music. These "performative lectures" have become the living and breathing porous membrane of our studio activity, where our graphic experiments meet realtime ephemerality. Navigating one's self amidst the contemporary graphic landscape with it's many representations continues to be a challenge for the modern human. How do our inner images relate to the permeable graphic skin that encapsulates us? (Performance photos: Phil Parcellano, Publication photos: Nathan Keay)
